TALKS
Throughout the period of the residency, the artists meet weekly to discuss their practices and concerns. Through the sharing of ideas and collaboration, the artists enable current and new bodies of work to emerge and evolve.
All sharing sessions are recorded for reference and you can watch a selection of these below.
Talk 1 _ It all begins with an idea.
The project begins. The artists get together to discuss the project’s timeline and share their ideas and visions for the journey.
Talk 2 _ Beate presents her work.
To get to know each other, understand each other’s work better, and form the basis for the group's dialogue, in this video Beate introduces her work and practice.
Talk 3 _ Catrin presents her work.
In this video, Catrin introduces her work starting from her wood prints on paper, all the way through to her sculpture work.
Talk 4 _ Iris presents her work.
Iris shares with the other resident artists the elements of work. Reflecting on poems, the artist work happens firstly in her imagination as a thought before it materialises.
Talk 5 _ Iris presents Atelierhof Werenzhain.
In this meeting, Iris talks us through the space and programme of Atelierhof Werenzhain.
Talk 6 _ Chris presents her work.
Chris presents her practice to the other artists. Showing videos and images of past and present projects and exhibitions the artist discusses her relationship with objects and memory as a way to create and develop her work.
